The Chinese government has already drawn a draft of 10-year planning for clean energy. By 2020, clean energy will weigh 15% among the total structure of energy consumption. Mr. Zhang Guobao, the head of the China National Energy Bureau, said that Chinese government will invest billions of RMB Yuan to research and develop the Solar and renewable energy technology. The state council of the P.R. China has already established China National Energy Committee in January 2010. Premier Wen Jiabao is appointed as the Minister of China National energy Committee. To achieve the target that Premier Wen Jiabao had made in the Copenhagen Conference, there will be a great upsurge in constructing Solar Photovoltaic in the coming 5 years. Basically we can achieve the target within 5 years although it is a 10-year project. Otherwise, these facilities will unable to be used before 2020. The highest legislature in China has already approved a revision of renewable energy law, requiring China Power Grid to purchase all the power produced by renewable energy power station. This reflects the important strategic position for renewable energy industry. China’s policy will provide global cooperators with more opportunities in renewable energy industry.
Shenzhen is the first Special Economic Zone in China, the most advanced city with market economy in China, the only city having ocean, land and air port in China, a beautiful coastal city in Southern China. Shenzhen’s Per Capital GDP is over USD10000. It is an inevitable choice for Shenzhen to development new energy industry in order to achieve sustainable development.

In recent years, Shenzhen has already created several no.1 in China:
In 2002, The 1st Photovoltaic Panel Wall Building in China is Shenzhen FangDa Building, which was designed and established by Shenzhen FangDa Group Co., Ltd.
In 2004, the first commercial 1MW grid-connected solar photovoltaic power generation in Asia was built in Shenzhen Flower Garden.
In 2007, the first 1.2MW grid-connected photovoltaic power generation project, Shenzhen Universiade Sports Center solar roof project was the largest relevant project invested by domestic private enterprise at that time.
By Nov. 2010, the largest domestic BIPV project in china is Shenzhen North Station solar roof photovoltaic power generation project.
In Nov. 2010, the first coastal entertainment underground car parking with Solar Power Generation in China was built in Shenzhen Happy Coast. And the car parking covers 10 million square meters.
In Nov. 2010, the largest scale thin film photovoltaic roof project in China, “EB-DuPont solar photovoltaic power generation project” was built in Shenzhen , with a total installed capacity of 1.3MW, which has been included in the national “Golden Sun demonstration project”.
On Nov. 29, 2010, Shenzhen Heng-tai-hao Solar Photovoltaic project with an initial investment of 6 billion, mainly produce polycrystalline solar ingot casting and slice, fill in the gaps in the fields of producing polycrystalline solar ingot casting and slice in Guangdong Province.
In the past 5 years, Shenzhen City has established a total of 44 solar energy demonstration projects, of which 15 has become national-level/ state-level solar energy demonstration projects. Shenzhen is the first city who established the important new energy production base and became the first low-carbon economy city in China. Solar Photovoltaic Power will become the main power of the world energy, and has broad prospects and huge potential for development in the near future.
